Payments and billing

Everything is in Australian dollars. You can pay from a prepaid balance, or by card for each order.

Prepaid balance

• Top up from Billing in the dashboard, POST /v1/billing/topup or the create_topup_link tool. A$10 to A$10,000 per top-up.
• Orders paid from balance register immediately, with no card step.
• The balance can't go below zero, even with many orders at once.
• Billing in the dashboard lists every top-up, order and refund.

Card per order

With payment: "auto" and a short balance, or payment: "checkout", the order comes back with acheckout_url. The payer pays by card on a secure Stripe page, then the domain registers. Unpaid links lapse after 24 hours.

Receipts

Stripe emails a receipt and invoice for every card payment and top-up.

Refunds

• If the registry refuses an order, the full amount goes back to your balance straight away.
• Once a domain is registered, the registry has been paid and the order can't be undone.
• If you'd like a card payment returned to the card instead of your balance, contact support.
