Plonki

Connect to your host

point_domain (or POST /domains/{domain}/point) sets the records for you. Give it the address your host gave the site.

shell
curl https://plonki.com.au/v1/domains/acmecoffee.com.au/point \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $PLONKI_KEY" -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"target": "acmecoffee.vercel.app"}'

Root domains and CNAMEs

DNS doesn't allow a CNAME on the root (acmecoffee.com.au itself). For hosts without a fixed IP, either send visitors towww, or move the domain's nameservers to the host (Cloudflare, for example) with set nameservers and manage DNS there.

How long it takes

New records usually work within a few minutes, sometimes up to an hour. Your host issues the HTTPS certificate once it sees the records.
